Observatory Hill
Observatory Hill near Chowrasta square is also known as The Mall, in Darjeeling, West Bengal. This hill is famed for offering some stunning views of snow-clad peaks, including Mount Kanchenjunga.
Observatory Hill initially holds The Bhutia Busty monastery, the oldest monastery in Darjeeling, which has now been relocated. Other major attractions on these hills are the temple of Mahakal.
Tourists visiting observatory hill also visit Chowrasta and The Mall.
Observatory Hill also makes a great place for bird watching and viewing the scenic beauty of nature.
The hill can be reached by a flight of certain stairs and climbing a steep road, vehicles aren’t allowed here so dent makes a good place for elderly and small children.
