Japanese Peace Pagoda
Japanese Peace Pagoda is a famed Buddhist temple and monastery in Darjeeling. The monastery aims in spreading peace and unite the people as one from over the world. Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk from Japan initiated the construction of this famed pagoda.
The place is visited by nearly all the tourists visiting Darjeeling. The temple is beautifully made in the traditional Japanese architectural style. There are four shining and gold-polished statues of Lord Buddha. The exquisite carvings on the walls of the temple depict different stories about the life of Lord Buddha.
The environment here is divine. One can spend hours here meditating and finding peace of mind.
