Rajgir Wildlife Sanctuary

Rajgir wildlife sanctuary aka Pant Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful spots to be visited in the state of Bihar. The sanctuary covers a wide area of 36 sqm of land. The wildlife sanctuary is famed for its collection of diverse flora and fauna. Apart from the plants and animals, the sanctuary is said to have a link with the auspicious existence of hammocks of Buddha and Jain era. There are hills inside this vast land rich in vegetation. This area got a title of a wildlife sanctuary in 1971. The sanctuary gives a natural habitat to its permanent residents- Elephants, Neelgai, Barking Deers and Sloth bears. The sanctuary is famed for its Leopards, Nilgai, Barking Deer and Hyena. The sanctuary is also famous for its beautiful and adventurous trekking trails.
