Pandu Pokhar

A very different, fun filled and important place to be visited at Rajgir is Pandu Pokhar. The place holds historical importance too. The place sees its existence during the time of Mahabharata. The place reveals the story of king Pandu, the father of Pandavas, who attacked Rajgir or Rajgriha and converted the place into a horse stable. People believe that when the king was left with this place, a swale was created, which was filled with the rain water and thus a pond was formed, which came to be known as Pandu Pokhar. The place has been now developed into a brand new activity area, where one can enjoy in the natural surroundings, appreciate the great Indian history and can also indulge in various fun-filled activities. There are a lot of activities to be done in this place.
