Tawang is a small town tucked high up in the Himalayas, in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The town looks down from a height of about 3048m to flaunt its exquisite beauty to the mainland residents. Tawang is not only reputed for its scenic beauty but also for housing the sacred places and monasteries of Buddhists. Here is the world’s second-largest Buddhist monastery (gompa).
