Rajiv Lochan Temple, Rajim
Rajiv Lochan Temple, Rajim located in Chhattisgarh, stands as a prominent and intricately carved shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Its stunning architecture and exquisite sculptures make it a captivating sight for visitors from across the globe.
Twelve solid towers provide steadfast support to the temple’s main structure, adorned with beautifully engraved stone pillars depicting various deities from Hindu Mythology. The entrance door is adorned with intricate carvings of creepers and people. Adjacent to the main temple, you’ll find additional sanctuaries honoring Lord Vamana, Lord Narasimha, Lord Shiva, and other deities.
Situated on the right bank of the Mahanadi River, where it converges with its tributaries “Parry” and “Sodhur,” Rajim is reachable by road from the district headquarters with regular bus services. Positioned 45 km southeast of Raipur district headquarters, it’s also accessible by a small rail line “Raipur-Dhamtari,” connecting with Navapara on the opposite side of Rajim. On the shores of the river, rests few more temples, which too are of great religious importance. You may need boat to go to the temple, or just walk through the sands in the dried summer season.

The Rajiv Lochan temple welcomes visitors every day of the week from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm, with the possibility of timing variations on special occasions and festivals. There is no entry fee to visit this temple.
