Gangrel Dam, Dhamtari
Standing upon the river Mahanadi, this dam has been serving the making side years. This dam holds the prestige of being the longest dam of the state. Apart from providing water to the neighbouring villages, the dam also generates electricity.
Things to do here- You can have a walk over the dam with the pleasing view of water running on either sides, you can also visit a small garden on the other end of the dam, Indulge yourself in various water activities and sports. One can take special permission from the authority to visit the underwater tunnel. There are special cottages made at the side of the dam for the tourists, to spend a night in.
