Rajiv Lochan Temple, Rajim
Rajiv Lochan means- The beautiful eyes. This glorious temple in Rajim, Chhattisgarh, is devoted to the god with beautiful eyes- Lord Vishnu. The mighty temple sits amidst the meeting point of three rivers namely, Mahanadi, Pairi and Sondur.
This place has religious importance and considered as sacred as Prayag Raj (very famous religious place in India). People from all over the state come to perform religious ceremonies here. There is the saying about this Sacred temple that however high the water of the river rise, the temple never get drowned. The idol of the god always remains untouched by the water of the rivers. This temple is an example of marvelous architecture. It stands upon the twelve columns depicting the face of different gods holding the main temple of Lord Vishnu.
