Tripunithura Vrischikolsavam

 Tripunithura Vrischikolsavam one of the temple festivals in Kerala  is the annual festival of Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple, which will mark the beginning of the temple festival season in Tripunithura region.

The eight day festival will commence with the hoisting of the festival flag at. Chenda melam will accompany the Seeveli ritual to be held everyday, except the Aarattu day. The important days of the festival are Thrikketta Purappadu and Valiyavilakku.

Noted carnatic musicians, concerts and Thayambaka will also be held as part of this temple festival. Art forms like Kathakali,Ottanthullal, Patakam, Kurathiyattam and religious discourse will be staged as part of the temple festival

Fifteen decorated elephants will be the main attraction of the eight day festival. Food stalls and stores keep the festival alive.
