Bear Shola Falls, KODAIKANAL
The most talked-about falls in the region is the Bear Shola Falls. The beauty of this fall is a combined effect of the water stream flowing with ease, the rocks to accompany it and the trees nearby, hiding it from the peoples passing by. Although the water stream is not very intense and can be easily assessed, but the rocks nearby makes the path slippery and dangerous.
The fall derived its name from the fact that at some point of time, the bears used to come here to ease their thirst. The fall vicinity provides an excellent place for trekking. You can leave your vehicle here and go trekking to a few more spots nearby. Although there is no entry fee here, you may have to pay charges for parking your cab.
