Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House
Ramakrishna Mission, a museum and cultural center situated at 105 Vivekananda Road, Kolkata, India is Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre.
Swami Vivekananda was born here on 12 January 1863 and spend his entire childhood and youth here. The house now is a famed museum which dictates the life and struggles of Swamiji. The museum aims to spread this mission and message to humanity.
The house was refurbished in the year 2004 and a cultural center and a library for the public were added to the existing house. There are many interesting things to see here. One can have a close look into the lifestyle of the great monk.
This is a must-visit of the place at Kolkata.
