Marudhamalai Temple

Marudhamalai temple is a sacred Lord Murugan Temple, at Coimbatore. As the name suggests Malai, the temple sits atop a beautiful hillock with lots of herbs and greenery. The hilltop gives dual advantage to the visitors- Visit the temple and the captivating scene of the neighborhood from the top. The temple shows an excellent work of the Dravidian style of architecture. The temple hillock is a granite hill and is rich in ayurvedic herbs. Apart from the Marudhamalai temple, there are Murugan temple and the snake Siddha temple near the main one. Festivals- The temple sees great gathering during the Thaipusam festival falling on the months of January or February.
