Bamleshwari Temple, Dongargarh

Sitting at high as 1600 feet on the top of the mountain at Dongargarh, Maa Bamleshwari has a sacred place in the hearts of the people of Chhattisgarh. This place is visited by hundreds of devotees to offer prayers to the goddess in their good and bad times. The temple commences the annual festival with great joy and respect at Navratri. The mountain goddess sits high up on the peak of the mountain, which can be reached either by climbing hundreds of stairs or by taking the ropeway to the temple.
