This place is just humongous. You get to see so much. It’s just unbelievable to grasp that so much can be a private collection. Even though photography is not allowed inside. But the visual treat inside is a lifetime experience. You get to see the private collection of a family which has over the years visited almost all parts of the world. Collected stuff from all over. And placed them all together for you for a ride across the world. Though official time to see the place is one hour. But to complete it entirely it takes around one and a half hours. And the staff there are more than happy to show you all.
There is a luggage room for tourists. Along with washroom and drinking water facility. The collection includes ivory art(all govt registered), beautiful paintings, handmade armchairs from around the world. Beautiful sculptures from across the globe. Glass art. Traditional Kerala lock system, traditional Kerala room etc. This museum has a lot of emerald carvings collection from the early 19’s till now. its a private museum which is built in the name of Mr Revi Karunakaran who was the biggest exporter of coir from India.
