Hoi An

Hội An is relatively a secluded city compared to its neighbouring ones. Vietnam’s former imperial capital, Huế, has the sights – temples, tombs and the Purple Forbidden City – but much of it was destroyed during the “American war” (from 1955 to 1975). The city sees only roadways to be reached. The city was a well established and flourished Southeast Asian trading port back in the 15th to the 19th century. The place now is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Places to explore here include scared temples, art galleries and French colonial buildings. One can go exploring here the Japanese Covered Bridge and Fujian Assembly Hall, shopping and dining along with the delicious eateries.
