Wallajah Mosque aka Big Mosque was built by Nawab Muhammad Ali Wallajah, This place is very sacred for Muslims and is one of the most popular mosques of the city. The mosque sits amidst the huge ground, that sees several festivals each year. The mosque organizes various religious festivals and fares each year where the Muslims from all over the state pay a visit. The most are of particular importance because of its inscription on the western wall. No other mosque in the world has a wall inscription done by a non-muslim. The mosque is built completely by the grey granite and has a splendid architecture. You must visit this place to appreciate its glory.
