Thanjavur palace

Thanjavur is a popular district of Tamil Nadu, getting fame because of its artistic temples and mesmerizing paintings. The Royal Palace aka Aranmanai or Maratha Palace Complex was built by Nayakas, which was then overtaken by Marathas. The palace is divided into many sections of importance as Saraswati Mahal Library Museum, Maharaja Serfoji Memorial Hall, the Art Gallery, etc.

The Mahratta Dharbar Hall holds some of the fantastic artworks which are worth appreciating. The place also offers AV displays for the visitors in the cinema hall, which are played between 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throwing lights on the history of Thanjavur.
