St. John’s Church
St. John’s Church saw itself originally as a cathedral. The Church was among the first public buildings erected after Kolkata became the effective capital of British India by the East India Company. It sees its place at the North-west corner of Raj Bhavan, Kolkata.
The Church is famed as the third oldest church of Kolkata. The Church holds religious, historical and architectural importance as well. The Church is believed to be constructed over an old burial ground.
