Raja Rajeswari Temple
Another yet beautiful place to visit in Yercaud is Sri Raja Rajeswari Temple. Apart from the religious importance of the place, it also gives some of the mesmerizing views of the place and thus has scenic importance too. This temple got its name as it worships Goddess Raja Rajeswari, a form of Goddess Shakti. This temple is thought to be built in 1983, by Tirukovilur Thapovanam Srila Sri Gnananada Giri Swami Parampara, who was the follower of Swami Poornanda Giri. The temple displays the goddess in a sitting posture who is 4.5 feet tall. The deity holds the rank of the goddess of all gods and thus holds great faith in the hearts of the people for her. The temple also worships Lords Rudra, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Brahma, and Saraswathi.
