Pykara Falls

The Pykara River cascades down along the rocky path of the Mukurthi peak to form a beautiful fall known by the name pykara Falls. The river makes a majestic view by forming two gigantic waterfalls of the heights 50 meters and 61 meters respectively. Travel 20 km from Ooty in the Ooty-Mysore road, to reach an alluring the lake for enjoying boathouse and restaurant. The place is often flocked by the people to enjoy nature’s beauty and spend some peaceful time here. Do also visit the dam and the powerhouse, built over the river to meet the water and electricity need of the region. While being at Pykara, look for Toda settlements also.  This is one amongst the rarest places where you can spot the Todas in their natural habitat. The evenings get cold here.
