Kalvarayan Hills
Travel for 150 km from Chidambaram to rich the beautiful tourist spot- The Kalvarayan Hills. The mighty hills cover a large area of 600 Sq.kms and have altitudes of varying height between 315 meters to 1190 meters. The place always sees a pleasant climate so is always flocked by the tourists. On the foot of the hills lies the Kallakurichi village. The highest peak among the kalvarayan hills is the Vellimalai.
The mighty hills houses some of the amazing tourist spots like the Gomugi Dam, botanical garden and two waterfalls, namely, The Periyar Falls and Megam Falls. One can also go trekking to these picturesque hills.
