Kalhatty Falls

Travel for 14 km on the Ooty – Mysore Road or Sigur Ghat Road to reach this beautiful waterfall also known by the name Kalahasti Falls. The Kalhatty falls cascades down for nearly 120 feet from the top of the Kalhatti mountain to create a scenic view that attracts thousands of tourist every year. The people flock here frequently to enjoy their day in the picturesque location in the Sigur Plateau. The place is also very popular among the trekkers as it gives some of the magical trekking trials. Apart from enjoying the picturesque location amidst nature and spending some time praising the beauty of the waterfall, one may also spot animals like Panthers, Bisons, Wild Buffaloes, Wild Dogs, Spotted Deers, Sambars and different types of hill birds in the Kalhatty-Masinagudi slope.
