Eco Tourism Park

The perfect place for a weekend getaway and to spend some fun time with family and friends at Kolkata is Eco-Tourism Park. The park has lots of sections to be explored and offers lots of activities that can keep the visitors busy all day long. Sprawling over 475 acres of land, it holds the prestige of being the biggest urban park in India and occupies over. The location of the park is mesmerizing in itself. Located amidst the waterbody, the Park appears as an adventurous island. Although it is a man-made park, it holds all the elements and goodness of nature, making it a perfect place to have fun. The major zones of the park are- ecological zones, the gardens, and the recreational zones. 
One can hop into its beautiful sections as-

  • Butterfly Garden: to have a look at different species of butterflies.
  • Mask Garden: displays numerous types of masks collected from all over the world.
  • Tea Garden: This model tea garden has demanded lots of efforts by Andrew Yule and Company for its establishment. One can soak themselves in the aroma of fresh tea here.
  • Formal Garden: addressing the urban settlement, this garden showcases the designs and concepts of vertical garden.
  •  Bamboo Garden: The infrequently seen bamboo plantation can be witnessed here. 
  • Fruit Garden: The Fruit Garden holds some of the exotic fruit-bearing trees of Bengal.
  • Meadow Garden: This beautiful garden holds lots of flowering plants and makes a perfect landscape to relax.
  • Rose Garden: As the name stands, one can see wide varieties of wild and hybrid roses here.
  • Sculpture Garden: it displays the sculptures of the legends and their contribution towards the nation and society.
  • Rabi Aranya: dedicated to the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Rabi Aranya is a miniature of Shantiniketan Ashram and is adorned with mesmerizing landscapes.
  • Urban Museum: Urban Museum or Sangraha holds the theme and artworks used in the most sacred festival of the state- Durga Puja.
  • Food Court gives a perfect place to dine amidst the stunning surrounding.
  • Lakefront Promenade: offers a perfect place to walk and relax with a coconut tree lining on the sides.
  • Biswa Bangla Haat: one can take away some of the exclusive handicrafts of the state.
  • Artists Cottage and Adda Zone: provides a serene location to the artists to take out the best from them.
  • Graffiti Walls: ornamented with the artworks of Subha Prasanna and Jogen Chowdhury, graffiti wall is the prized canvas for the tourists.
  • Children’s Park: houses play areas, sculptures, fountains and lush gardens for the children to have some fun.
  • Seven Wonders of the World: all the listed wonders from around the world are displayed here.
