Attukadu Waterfalls
Located amidst the brilliant green of Munnar and Pallivasal, the Attukal or Attukadu waterfalls serve as a pleasant spot for the locals and tourists equally. Through roads of beatific tea gardening, this destination leaves one awestruck for a good few minutes. The unceasing flow of this spectacular water body is mixed with the breathtaking views of the mountains, river, rocks and the green that surrounds it.
The splendid, glittering waterfalls like a cascade upon the shoulders of the mountains surrounding it and it’s a sheer sight to behold.
A wooden bridge serves as a stairway to this undulating heaven. Of course, it looks the best in the season of water than any other, Monsoon but the sun shining through and into it makes the most magnificent duo known to mankind, of the light and water.
The shallow water level in the pool at the end of this fall serves as yet another thrill to this watery magnificence. It also makes up an ideal place for trekking and hiking on its lavish terrains, in the middle of the beauty of a dense jungle.
The area also supplies with good food availability and not only that but with many amazing photographers and their props. However, these falls could be dangerous due to the steepness of the elevation among the mountains near it. There are signboards indicating caution which actually needs to be kept in mind while visiting the area.
