Annamalaiyar Temple View Point

The Thalai Cholai village in Salem district of Tamilnadu houses an important tourist spot of Yercaud- Annamalaiyar Temple Viewpoint. Annamalaiyar Temple is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva Temple. The temple is all decorated with colorful idols in the exterior. It sees the height of 1400 m above the sea level and thus offers a panoramic view of the hills along with the Servaroyan temple, coffee plantations, spice gardens and orange groves in its surrounding. The temple includes one pyramid-like lamp tower which is painted in bright red color. he tower gives spectacular views in the evenings of full moon days. So, the point sees maximum tourists and devotees during these days. One can also go trekking around the coffee and the cardamon plantation.
