Ananda Stupa
Ananda stupa is another yet very important sacred Buddhist place at Vaishali. The Stupa sees its place near to Ashokan pillar. It is said to be the place where the second Buddha council was held in the 2nd century B.C. by King Kalasoka. The place is not in a good condition now, but still holds the grace of its time. It is believed that at this very place, Gautama Buddha preached his last sermon. Lord Buddha announced his approaching Mahaparinirvana (death) three months in advance.
