Narasingam is known for its Cave temple. The temple was constructed in 770 AD by Madurakavi (minister of the Madurai King Paraanthaka Nedunchelzyan) to worship Yoga Narasinga Perumal. The temple holds a beautiful sculpture of Narasinga Perumal which is carved out of the Aanaimalai Hill rocks.
Facing this temple is another temple, that worships goddess Sri Narasingavalli. And yet another to the west is another cave temple that worships God Muruga and the goddess Devasena.
You should visit here to see some of the beautiful carved stone cave temples of the Pandaya era.
