Ben Tre
Bến Tre sees itself as a coastal province in the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam. Famous places to be visited in the Bến Tre town is the colonial Bến Tre Museum, which holds artefacts and photos explaining Vietnam’s revolutionary history. One must also visit Viện Minh Pagoda, famed for its Buddhist statues. Apart, there is a Vàm Hồ Bird Sanctuary, which has waterways and native flora and fauna, to be enjoyed. Bến Tre and are connected by a bridge Mỹ Tho. Bến Tre town is all adorned with numerous coconut trees. The coconut candies are a famous souvenir to be purchased from here. One can enjoy here a boat trip on the Tien River, sightseeing the floating fishing village, riding on the horse –cart and much more. It makes a perfect holiday destination for nature and countryside lovers.
