Thiru Uthirakosamangai is a famous Village of Ramanathapuram. The village got its popularity because of the famous Mangalanathar – Magaleshwari Temple. The temple sees and worships three form of Lord Shiva- Deity, Tree and the Sacred Water. The temple holds great faith among the people of the country. They believe that the temple has special blessings for the ones seeking for marriage and child.

The temple is believed to be constructed around 1529–1542 A.D. by the Pandya Kings and is the first Shiva temple of the world. The temple is of great attraction also because of the unique Nataraja statue it houses. The statue is considered to be one of its kind in the whole world. This Nataraja statue is 1.83 meters tall and made of precious emerald. You much visit this place both as an enthusiast and as a devotee to seek the blessings and to know about the world’s rarest things.
