Nithya Kalyana Perumal Temple
The Sri Nithya Kalyana Perumal temple is a holy Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Shakti. The god and the Goddess are worshipped here in the form of Nitya Kalyana Perumal and Komalavalli Thayar respectively. The temple sees its place in Thiruvidanthai, Kovalam, Chennai.
The religious stories behind the temple say that Sri Nithya Kalyana Perumal married the 360 daughters of sage Galava, on his request, one on each day of the year. On the last day, Lord Vishnu combined all the daughters into one and gave her a place on his left side. Festivals- The temple sees great gathering on Hanuman Jayanti and the whole month of Margazhi. Nearby is this temple is the Karaikal Ammaiyar Temple, to be visited.
