National Art Gallery
Established in 1906, with the name Victoria Memorial Hall, The National Art Gallery of Chennai is a perfect place for the art lovers. Apart from the inclusions, the building of the Gallery is to an attraction in itself. Built-in Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, the gallery calls thousands of tourists and art and architecture lovers from over and across the country. The gallery is beautifully sectioned into- Decorative Art Gallery, Ravi Varma Painting, Thanjavur Painting, and Indian Traditional Art Gallery. The things you can see here are Raja Ravi Varma Paintings, Thanjavur Paintings, Religious Sculptures and Statues, Periodic Books and Manuscripts, Ancient Handicrafts dating back to 10th and 11th centuries and Historical Artefacts as well.
