Kaigal Falls / Dumukurallu Waterfalls, Near Kanipakam

Few kilometers from Vellore, on the Palamaner – Kuppam Highway is the beautiful Kaigal Water Falls or Dumukurallu Waterfalls. The waterfall is formed by the Kaigal stream that cascades down from 40 feet to create this beautiful fall. The Kaigal stream along with a sister stream flows through the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, hits a big rock and escape the land to accompany the air and create Dumukurallu Waterfalls. The sound made by the fall resembles the sound made by the falling stones, hence the name Dumukurallu waterfalls. The water from the falls plunges into a big pond creating a scenic picnic spot for the tourists. The surroundings of the fall are created by dense forest with plenty of birds, shrubs, trees, and wildlife. The nearby attraction is the shivalinga near the falls, which calls the religious peoples too at this place.
