Bangeshwar Mahadev

Bangeshwar Mahadev is a newly constructed Shiva temple situated on the bank of the Hooghly River, Howrah. The temple is famed for its 51 feet tall Lord Shiva statue. The statue was unveiled by the then President Of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee on December 13, 2015.

Natun Mandir aka Naya Mandir or Seth Banshidhar Jalan Smriti Mandir or Bangeshwar Mahadev Mandir is all the names given to this famed holy temple.

This Fifty One Feet tall Shiva idol is unique and worth visiting. The gigantic statue has five heads, made up of fiberglass, cement and reinforced cement concrete (RCC).
The mighty statue weighs around 3 tonnes and demanded 6 months to get completed. The statue is so huge that it is visible for a far distance as well.
