Amar Kutir
Amar Kutir is located on the banks of the Kopai River, about 15 kilometers from Santiniketan in Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The organization was established in 1923 by the efforts of Late Sushen Mukharjee, but it was shut down in 1932 by the Britishers. After the independence, Rabindranath Tagore reopened this institute to advocate and promote the manufacturing of handicrafts among the rural population.
The showroom showcases numerous hand made items like textiles, bags, arts and crafts, bedsheets, ornaments, sculptures and much more. One can shop here for the products they like and take back home.
