Alibag

Alibaug, or Alibag, is a little coastal town near Mumbai, popularly called ‘mini-Goa’ which has led to it being a tourist-magnet for tourists all year round. It is home to a lot of clean beaches, beautiful forts, and pilgrim-attracting temples. It also offers a lot of activities, both for children and adults. The most convenient and cheapest way to travel to Alibag is to take a ferry from Gateway of India.

The most popular one, though, is the Alibag beach. The Kolaba Fort is visible from there and one can also take a boat ride to the same. Photographers and Youtubers love Alibag for its beaches namely Mandwa, Kihim, Akshi, Kasim, Korli and Varsoli. One will find finger-licking seafood here.

It’s a place where most celebrities own at least a villa because it’s a readily available weekend getaway for Mumbaikars. Tourists too, usually prefer a villa stay when in town. Alibag has a couple of forts too,  like Kolaba and Murud-Janjira fort. The latter is surrounded by turquoise water.

Alibag basically is a cluster of beaches; one finishes and soon after another starts. So if you’re a beach person, be here!
