Waterfalls at Erawan National park

West Thailand is famed for flaunting some of the most popular and astonishing waterfalls of the country. Finding its place in the Tenasserim Hills range of Kanchanaburi Province the Erawan National park is a treat for nature and wildlife lovers.

The park is relatively new as it was established in the year 1975. The prime attraction of the place is the 7-tiered Erawan Falls adorned with beautifully carved emerald green ponds. The fall is also known for it resembles the elephant head.

Nearby this splendid waterfall is numerous caves and the natural settings. The limestone cliff formations, numerous water streams and the dense forest wild wide species of wildlife never fail to attract the tourists visiting Thailand all year long.

The waterfall is also famed for hosting an annual Songkran Festival, which takes place in the months of April. The guests enjoy the waterfall and its beautiful formations and indulge in the ancient traditional water fight.
