Ways to reach Trang

By Road: You can reach Trang by road from various cities in Thailand. The primary mode of transportation is by bus or private vehicle.

From Bangkok: The most common route is to take a bus from Bangkok’s Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai). The journey by bus takes approximately 10-12 hours, depending on the route and traffic conditions. There are also overnight buses available for a more comfortable journey.

From Krabi: You can take a bus or drive by car, and the journey takes around 2-3 hours.

By Air: Trang also has an airport, Trang Airport (TST), which is served by domestic flights. You can reach Trang by air from several major Thai cities. You can take a direct flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Flight duration is approximately 1.5 hours.

By Train: You can take a train from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Trang Railway Station. The journey by train takes around 15-17 hours, and there are both daytime and overnight trains available, but the train station is not located within the city center, so you may need to take additional transportation.

Things to see in Trang

Beaches of Koh Libong

Koh Libong is half an hour distant from from Hat Yao Ban Chao Mai Pier. The place is famed for its numerous mesmerising beaches such as Tup Beach, Chui Hoi Cape, Thuat Cape and Tho Chai Cape. The place is a perfect leisure destination. Also one can find local people indulged in fishing thus providing fresh sea food to the visitors.
Moreover, Libong Archipelago Wildlife Reserve includes this island.

Haad Farang

Holding some of the extremes beauties of nature, this place pulls nearly all the tourists visiting Trang. Making a land amidst dense jungle and towering limestone cliffs, this place holds sight seeing places as Tham Morakot aka Emerald Cave.

Thung Kai Botanical Garden

Trang Peninsular Botanical Garden or Thung Kai Botanical Garden at Trang is a must visit place for the nature lovers. Adorned with variety of rare plants and trees this place gives a fresh feel to all its visitors. Adding to the thrill is the canopy walk into the jungle.

Khao Kop Cave

This stalagmites and stalactites laden natural cave is going to make your trip even more adventurous and happening.

Ko Muk and Morakot Cave

Both these caves are famed for the locations where they exists. Apart from admiring the beauty of the cave itself, one can even enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

Rajamangala Aquarium

Rajamangala Institute of Technology, Trang hosts an aquarium which is huge enough to replicate the amphibians, reptiles and marine creatures living in their natural habitat. visiting this place would be a unique experience in itself.

Trang Food Festival

If you happen to be at Trang from 30th of March to the 3rd of April, then you are going to witness an amazing phenomenon. Somdech Phra Srinagarindra Park holds an annual Food festival that offers the visors to burp upon the delicious local food, fresh sea food and also some international cuisine. This festival is also adorned with many live competitions and performances.

Underwater Wedding Ceremony
