Historic city of Ayutthaya

A must visit place in Thailand is the Historic city of Ayutthaya. The place holds special importance as it beholds some of the important and precious ruins of the civilized city of Ayutthaya.

The city of Ayutthaya was ruled by King Ramathibodi I back in 1351. The city was a hub for the artists and its valuers. This mighty kingdom held many precious collectibles and artworks. It saw its destruction in the hands of the Burmese Army in 1767. This land now sees itself as a Historical Park, that holds the ruins of the old city of Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Thailand.

The park also holds the prestige of being the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. One can see here the exquisite planning of the city and the glimpse of the wonderful architecture that the city held.
