The Grand Palace, Bangkok

One of the most talked-about tourist attractions of Bangkok is the grand palace. As the name stands, the palace is grand in terms of its structure, function, importance, and history as well. The palace commences numerous official ceremonies and royal arrangements as well.

Once being the home to the kings of the country, the grand palace still retains its old school charm. The palace sits on the banks of the Chao Phraya River at the heart of the Rattanakosin Island, in the Phra Nakhon District.

A palace is a group of numerous buildings, pavilions, halls, gardens, lawns, courtyards. The complex structure of the palace is hard to learn and describe. This Palace is divided into several quarters as- the Phra Maha Prasat Buildings and the Chakri Maha Prasat Buildings; the Outer Court, with many public buildings; the Temple of the Emerald Buddha; the Middle Court, including the Phra Maha Monthien Buildings, the Inner Court and the Siwalai Gardens quarter. 

Visiting this beautiful place having much historical and functional importance makes a truly wonderful experience in itself.
