Ghode Pani

Ghorepani is a village in the Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. The village is tucked at an altitude of approximately 2874 m. The village sees its place in the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA). Apart from tourism importance, the place has historical importance too. It once saw many traders resting in the middle of their trade route to feed their horses water and thus the village derived its name Ghorepani.

The village is mainly famed as a resting spot during the trek to Poon Hill. trekkers usually spend a night here to witness the sunrise from the nearby Poon Hill. Poon Hill is flocked by the trekking and the photography enthusiasts for the stunning panoramic view it offers. The majestic mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges are best viewed from here.
