Kelaa is the inhabited islands of Haa Alif Atoll and geographically part of Thiladhummathi Atoll in the north of the Maldives. ‘Kelaa’ translates to sandalwood in English. The island is known for its distinct bio-geographical features on its different parts. The island is adorned with the wide stretch of the white sandy beach, dense forests, rich underwater world, and beautiful lagoons. Here one can witness the largest lagoons of the country, which extends up to approximately 6km in length. Kelaa is an Associate in the Nursing underpopulated island in Haa Alifu coral reef within the Maldives. Opening for budget tourism in 2015, Kelaa is the authentic experience of the Maldives with a handful of guesthouses on the island, white beaches, a beautiful lagoon, and an impressive sea life.
