A valley town in Bhutan, Paro is the most important place in the country. The district has its importance because of the tourism, travel, monastery and religious points of view. The town is one of the most beautiful locations of Bhutan. Adorned with acres of rice fields, a calm river, and the beautiful valley site, the place attracts lots of tourists every year. The traditionally styled houses covering a large part of the valley, the grid-like styling of the town and the blessed beauty of nature, is all that makes this place a heaven. The place is rich is its religious values. To visit here are 155 temples, only international airport of the country, the Taktsang Palphug/ Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), a defensive fortress- Drukgyel Dzong, the central plaza, a small amphitheatre, The national museum- Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower and much more.
