Sikia Jhora

Sikiajhora is a water streamlet running through the Buxa Tiger Reserve. The rivulet enters the plains of Dooars at Panialguri and meets another river, Bala. Bala river too originates from the Jayanti Hills and Buxa Forest.

Sikiajhora is known for its biodiversity. The serene atmosphere with the stunning surrounding makes it a perfect place for numerous outdoor activities. One can go for boat rides here. The boating facilitates the tourists through the jungle showing some of the extremely rare varieties of birds and wildlife.

There are also tea estates to be explored here. The endless tea gardens holding tender tea leaves fill the atmosphere with the soothing aroma of the tea. Furthermore, to add to the beauty of the place and to please the tourists is a watchtower which offers some of the stunning views of the area.
