Nagpur
The Orange City of India lies precisely in the geographical center of the country with the Zero Mile Marker. It is a major trade region of fresh oranges that are cultivated in the area. It is an important city for Maharashtra being its winter capital and a part of the top 10 Smart City Project. Another orange thing it’s known for is tigers; it is the Tiger City of India, called so for a good number of tiger reserves in and around Nagpur.
India’s cleanest and second greenest city, for now, is Nagpur, which holds a certain position with respect to two religions- Hinduism and Buddhism. The grandeur of the city is reflected in its temples. Apart from this, Asia’s biggest Buddhist stupa- Deekshabhoomi Stupa is also situated there. Futala Lake on its outskirts offers a perfect getaway from the busy city. Nagpur boasts of ten other lakes, the most famous of those being Ambazari lake. Very near to this city which has a lot to offer in itself, we find a beautiful waterfall- Amba Khori which makes all those romantic Bollywood scenes come to life. Nearby also is Waki Woods where you can be in the lap of nature and have the fun of your life indulging in sports, adventure or better yet, wildlife photography.
While Nagpur does offer your eyes and soul a good trip, it can also serve you amazing street food. Dishes like Tarri Pohe and Patodi Bhaji are very dear to the locals. Pleasant weather during the months of November, December and January attracts a good number of tourists.
