Mani Bhavan
Mani Bhavan, situated at Laburnum Road in Mumbai, a museum dedicated to Gandhi, was the core place of his political acts between 1917 and 1934. It was from here that Gandhi flagged the Non-Cooperation, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi and Khilafat Movements. What’s also surprising to note here is that this is also where his association with the charkha began.
Today, the place holds great historical significance where Gandhi fans from all over the world flock to read his books, and gather more about his life and philosophies. Notable people from abroad also have paid a visit here, like Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Martin Luther King Jr.
This place fits the idea of an informational afternoon with students or one’s kids.
