Gorumara Forest
Gorumara Forest holds an important public accessible area- Gorumara National park, in Jalpaiguri. The National park sprawls over 80 square kilometers and is famed for housing a plethora of flora and fauna in its wildest form.
The Park is situated near the rives Murti and Raidak, and at the foothills of the Great Himalayan mountains. One can go sporting leopards, elephants, Indian Bison, Rock Python, deer, Malayan Giant Squirrel, etc in the safari trip to the Jungle. The bird lovers are pleased to spot Minivets, Pheasants, Hornbills, Woodpeckers, Cuckoos, Pigeons, Mynas and many migratory birds here.
The Jungle offers the Elephant Safari and the Jeep Safari to be pre-booked and done in the allotted time slot. The safari trip is amazing and disciplined as well. There are numerous watchtowers inside the park to facilitate the tourists to have more stunning views of the forest.
