Dakshineshwar Kali temple
Besides the Famed Vivekananda Bridge, on the eastern bank of River Hooghly, is the sacred most revered temple of Kolkata. Dakshineshwar Kali temple. As the name stands, the temple is dedicated to the powerful goddess Kali. The temple holds a sacred place in the hearts of the people of Kolkata. Dakshineswar Kali Temple holds the prestige of being one of the largest temples of Kolkata. The temple sees a beautiful architecture and is built in a conventional Nava-Ratna style. The temple is high as 100 feet. Along with the main shrine are 12 other small temples on the campus. The holy temple is believed to be built by Rani Rashmoni on May 1855.
