Bandra-Worli Sea Link
Officially known as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, the cable-stayed bridge that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link is a sight to behold and a privilege to ride on. The bridge was partially opened to the public in 2009, and fully in 2010. It is an eight laned bridge. Toll collection takes place on the Bandra end, electronically.
It is a civil engineering wonder that reflects the development in modern architecture and infrastructure of Mumbai. The bridge is like a boon for daily commuters who have seen a huge save in traveling time. It won’t be an understatement to say that the bridge compliments the sea it’s built over. Over the magnificent blue waters of Mahim Bay, the well-lit bridge in the dark of the sky offers a spellbinding sight.
