Kerala Tourism Department and Forest Department are conducting boating at Periyar lake/ Thekkady everyday for both international and domestic travelers. Thekkady Boating Timing and Charges as follows:
Timing: 7.30 am ,9.30 am,11.15 am,1.45 pm,3.30 pm
Ticket Rate : 150/Head+ Entrance Rs 25
Duration: 1.30 Hrs

The amount reflected above for online boat-tickets is exclusive of the entry fees. Entrance ticket is mandatory for entering into the park or availing any Eco-Tourism / Boating programs.All guests are requested to get the entrance tickets from Entrance Check-post of Periyar Tiger Reserve or any other valid entrance ticket counter operated by Periyar Tiger Reserve Authority at Thekkady / Kumily.

How many seat in each boats?
Both tourism department and KTDC have boats in periyar tiger reserve(Thekkady). 45-60 seat boats are on servicing, during seasonal time with satisfactory water level.That means a single boat can have upto 45-60 seats.
we are 45 members wish to have boating..
so is it possible to accommodate all of us in a single boad on 05-march-2015..

Hi. THanks for the information. What is understood from the online booking page and here is that only the entrance fees can be purchased online. The boating fees is to be paid at the counter. Is this correct.

We are 6 adults and 1 child. I am unable to select number persons while booking. There is no option for group booking. Planner date 26th dec 2015 Saturday

There is no option for group booking. You need to book each tickets. Otherwise you can book directly at counter. around 30 tickets available directly for each schedules.

The official website is maintained by forest department. Most of the time is not available because of their technical issues. So we kindly requesting you to book the tickets from reservation counter in periyar tiger reserve.

We are looking for a Trip to Thekkady and Wagamon..Coming from Perinthalmann, Malappuram. Nearest place in wagamon i think. we plans for one day stay with camp fire (previous day stay and next day morning starts seeing sights). So please advise and help us to arrange this wonderful event in my mail
