Maruekhathaiyawan Palace
Situated at the Rama VI army camp, between Cha-Am and Hua Hin, the Maruekhathaiyawan Palace is truly not to be missed places in Thailand. As the name suggests, the place once served as the residence to the king Vajiravudh (Rama VI). The king often loved to spend his summer days here as the location of the Palace and the presence of waterfront made it a perfect location to beat the scorching summer heat.
The prime attraction of the Place is it is made all of the teakwood. The beautiful and unique architecture of the Palace attracts architects from over the world.
Because of the dearness of the Palace, the King addressed the Palace as- “The Palace of Love and Hope”. The Place is divided into numerous sections meant for the personal spaces for the king and the other family members. The inside of the palace sees long corridors connecting these sections. Also, the king and the queen had personal access to the beach from their respective sections.
Also to witness here is the Sewakamart section, which is believed to be used for official functions. The Palace is an amazing place to learn the history and go back to the bygone era of the kings and royalties.
